Salary: £18,000 basic, plus uncapped commission (OTE £25K)
Job Overview:
As a Business Development Executive, working for this niche energy specialist, you will be responsible for contacting customers to engage in conversation regarding the firm's energy saving products.
Working as part of an award winning team of 4, set to double in size by the end of first quarter in 2012; your role will be to advise, liaise and persuade customers to take advantage of various energy savings options available to them.
Working from a set of warm leads and utilising your impressive communication skills in an outbound cold calling nature, you will play a pivotal role in describing products benefits and special offers, giving advice on how these may benefit customers personally, persuade customers to accept a visit, gather and document information about the customer, taking orders, entering notes and arranging follow up service.
This is a fast paced role whereby you will initially only have a small amount of time to build rapport with customers therefore you should be able to demonstrate a confident, positive and proactive approach to your work, colleagues and team.
There are approximately 57,000 Business Development Executives employed in the UK, with finance, retail companies and distribution centres the largest employers. Jobs are UK wide, with concentrated pockets of employment around cities and industrial parks.
If you're successful, you can achieve rapid promotion and salary increases. There are also often opportunities in larger organisations to move into team leader or sales management roles.
As the persuasion skills involved in telephone selling are vital to a wide range of business functions, it may be possible to move into a related job. These include face to face selling and customer service, complaints handling, buying, marketing and training.
